LABOR DAY WEEKEND, 8/31 – 9/1/02 (SAT. & SUN.)

HELD AT THE MUHU AIKIDO DOJO IN THE BEAUTIFUL SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, CALIF.

 

 

 

FEATURED INSTRUCTOR:

 

Jacques Payet - Former Senior Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo Foreign 5th Dan Instructor and close confidant to Shioda Sensei was an 8-year live-in Yoshinkan student who ultimately completed (together with Chris Johnston) the only English language translation of Shioda Kancho Sensei's autobiography, Aikido Shugyo.

 

COST:

 

The general clinic open to all belts will cost $20.00 for the entire weekend.

Practitioners that wish to attend the black belt course can pay an additional $10.00, totaling $30.00 dollars for the entire weekend.

CLASSES:

 

Saturday August 31, classes begin at 4:00 pm.  Please arrive by 3:30 ~ 3:45.

 

Ø       4:00 pm to 5:30 pm – This first clinic is open to all.  All belt levels are welcome

Ø       5:30 pm to 6:00 pm – Intermission/Short break

Ø       6:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Black belt clinic/Kurobikai.  Levels Shodan and above may attend

Ø      Dinner

 

Sunday September 1st, classes begin at 9:00 am.  Please arrive or awake by 8:00 ~ 8:30 am.

 

Ø       9:00 am to 10:30 am – This first clinic is open to all.  All belt levels are welcome

Ø       10:30 am to 11:00 am – Intermission/Short break

Ø       11:00 am to 12:00 pm – Black belt clinic/Kurobikai.  Levels Shodan and above may attend

Ø      Lunch

LOCATION:

 

The training will be held at Muhu Aikido Dojo in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley (3 miles from Solvang).  The dojo is located very close to the junction of 246 and 154 hi-ways, just 2 hours north from Huntington Bch., CA or 30 minutes north east of Santa Barbara.  The address is: 3632 Sagunto St., Santa Ynez, CA. 93460-9576:

 

 

LODGING:

 

Saturday night, 8/31, lodging at the Muhu dojo (sleep at the dojo) will be available for those participating in the event, at no further cost.  You’ll need a sleeping bag and jacket.
